I have served with the RMP for 20 years and earlier this year two of my colleagues were seriously injured. Cpl Carlos Buckley is undrgoing rehab and Maj Phil Packer is paraplegic. Maj Phil has also determined to (1) enter the 2009 London Marathon as a wheelchair athlete and (2) raise £1,000,000 English pounds for Help for Heroes by that time. To aid the cause, I am doing the Real Berlin In-Line Skaters Marathon this Saturday. In Pink Pyjamas. Because I can. I know the credit crunch is biting at the moment, but I should esteem it an honour if you could dig a bit deeper and sponsor me in this event. I have a page on JustGiving.com or you can search on "Phil's Million4Heroes" and add to our great total. I thank you all in advance. | | | | | |

I used to live in Denholme for many, many years, lived on Longhouse Lane, next to Karen and Phill. Always walked our white dog Smartie around the park several times a day. I emigrated to Sydney Australia in 2002 and haven't looked back since. My kids love it over here, although my son Bradley always wants to visit Denholme. I'm sure lots have changed since we left. One thing I do miss is the fish and chips from the chippy on the main road...... My Dad lives on Foster Park and he's always out and about, bowling in the park or walking is beloved poodles around the park. My sister works in the Co-op, Deb.
If anybody can remember Marie Burgin, she used to live in Denholme but moved away and I have lost touch with her, anybody with info please get in touch.
Many happy days have been had in Denholme...... May it last forever.......
